Job Description
As a Program Manager/Technical Writer supporting global Dental, Purification and Filtration, and Medical Surgical businesses, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
This is slated as a 1-year contract with strong potential for extension/conversion and can be based anywhere in the US.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently gathering and analyzing various sources of information to write technical documentation that reflects a clear understanding of project direction and goals, products, manufacturing, and facility equipment.
- Serving on cross-functional teams responsible for global projects, attending team meetings, and maintaining open communication between the team and other departments.
- Editing work for other writers and providing constructive feedback.
- Designing and writing clear, concise, and accurate documents tailored to the instructional and reference needs of specific customer audiences.
- Understanding the audiences, tasks, and products assigned to deliver information in the most usable and effective format, structure, and delivery method.
- Utilizing project tracking tools to effectively communicate project status and identify potential risks.
- Fostering a respectful and cooperative work environment while contributing to conflict prevention and resolution.
- Leading business initiatives to drive key quality priorities for the product portfolio and customers.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and quality teams to ensure timely task execution in areas such as risk management, change management, design controls, and test method development and validation.
- Interacting with global manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and support functions to ensure successful product and manufacturing transfers globally.
- Promoting a quality-focused environment and mindset throughout the business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution OR High School Diploma/GED AND 4 years of experience within a quality manufacturing environment.
- 2-4 years of engineering experience in the medical device industry.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Effective collaboration and communication within cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in project tracking tools and risk management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- A proactive approach to fostering a quality-focused work environment.
