Description

Job Title: FAA - Senior Technical Writer/Editor - UAS Integration Office

Responsibilities:

• Apply in-depth knowledge of NAS, aviation, and flight procedures to produce guidance materials that communicate complex aviation topics to diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to translate technical concepts into understandable documents.
• Analyze content for reuse and quality, ensuring standards are met.
• Prepare, edit, and publish technical documentation adhering to content and format standards.

Software Requirements:

• Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word (advanced formatting, tables, review functions)
• Microsoft PowerPoint (master slides)
• Microsoft Excel (basic functions)
• SharePoint, AdobeConnect

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of technical writing experience, including 2 years with FAA aviation documentation.
• Alternatively, 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

Additional Notes:

• Location: 950 L'Enfant Plaza SW, Washington, DC 20024.
• Required clearance: SF-85P, obtainable on-site at FAA, with ability to secure Public Trust clearance.
• Salary range: $40,001 - $80,000, based on experience.
