Description
Job Title: FAA - Senior Technical Writer/Editor - UAS Integration Office
Responsibilities:
- Apply in-depth knowledge of NAS, aviation, and flight procedures to produce guidance materials that communicate complex aviation topics to diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to translate technical concepts into understandable documents.
- Analyze content for reuse and quality, ensuring standards are met.
- Prepare, edit, and publish technical documentation adhering to content and format standards.
Software Requirements:
- Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word (advanced formatting, tables, review functions)
- Microsoft PowerPoint (master slides)
- Microsoft Excel (basic functions)
- SharePoint, AdobeConnect
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of technical writing experience, including 2 years with FAA aviation documentation.
- Alternatively, 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Additional Notes:
- Location: 950 L'Enfant Plaza SW, Washington, DC 20024.
- Required clearance: SF-85P, obtainable on-site at FAA, with ability to secure Public Trust clearance.
- Salary range: $40,001 - $80,000, based on experience.
