Brief Description Join our team as Director of Sales & Marketing at Residence Inn Walnut Creek! Step into a role where your strategic vision and passion for growth can truly shine. As the
Director of Sales & Marketing , you will be the driving force behind revenue growth, leading proactive sales efforts to bring in new business and strengthen relationships with key clients. Your focus will be on identifying new business opportunities, building lasting partnerships, and showcasing the hotel’s offerings to potential clients, helping position the property as a top destination for business travelers and events.
Salary: $115,000 - $125,000 / year
Your Role You will be central to the hotel’s growth strategy, responsible for elevating its market presence. Your mission is to grow revenue by proactively engaging current and prospective clients, understanding their needs, and aligning them with the hotel’s services. Key responsibilities include:
Actively prospect and solicit new corporate business to drive revenue.
Make sales appointments and cold calls to identify and close new accounts across all segments.
Host clients for site visits, tours, and entertainment events to demonstrate value.
Monitor top accounts, analyze trends, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with revenue management to optimize hotel yield.
Lead and participate in sales meetings to ensure team alignment.
Implement promotions and participate in sales blitzes to boost direct sales.
Maintain attentive, friendly, and service-oriented interactions with guests and colleagues.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements What We’re Looking For:
3+ years of hotel sales and leadership experience.
Director-level experience preferred.
Proven success in outside sales and new business generation.
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree is a plus.
Proficiency with Windows and sales software.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR.
