Responsabilities;
- The Construction Cost Accountant will oversee the Project Cost Accounting function for construction projects and collaborate with Project Managers throughout the entire project cycle
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing financial documents and transactions related to contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures and cost and accounting standards while performing day-to-day activities and functions
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Teams to complete tasks promptly
- Interact and communicate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure invoicing is submitted per contractual terms
- Perform vendor account reconciliations
- Maintain organized records of meetings, open items, and decisions
- Electronically maintain accurate, well-documented project records
- Review subcontractor A/R and Central's A/P reports as needed to keep payments on schedule
- Perform ad-hoc projects as required
