This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity. Expected to put in 5 hours per week and be responsive to emails within 36 hours.. STW(tm) welcomes volunteers who are seeking skill-based volunteering opportunity. STW(tm) shall provide "letter of recommendation" professionals who demonstrate outstanding contribution for professional references. SUMMARY: Support the publishing group by reviewing pending posts on WordPress, applying SEO as necessary, and scheduling posts for publishing. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Log on To WordPress and review pending posts, checking meta descriptions, titles, focus keywords, meta keywords, tags, categories, and excerpts, and editing as necessary. Ensure that SEO is good, getting each post as close to "green" as possible. Conduct keyword research for STW website content before the article is published. Offer weekly advice/workshops to publishers to continue improving SEO quality and streamlining the publishing process. Report to the Project Leader for the given project team. Attend the Publishing group’s monthly meeting. Complete the PWR at least on a weekly minimum basis. EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS: 1-2 years of SEO experience as well as demonstrated ability to stay current with SEO trends and best practices. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously. Associates degree or equivalent experience (6 months to 1 year full-time paid corporate/non-profit work experience). Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy, and a clear, courteous, and professional manner when dealing with the public. Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside the department.
