The Opportunity:
We are seeking a talented
Consulting Marketing Specialist
who will be responsible for creating and delivering strategic, high-impact marketing campaigns on behalf of Velera credit union clients. This role is focused on executing data-driven marketing strategies that align with client goals, ensuring the delivery of measurable marketing success.
The Marketing Specialist collaborates closely with the larger Consulting team, including Marketing Consultants, data analysts and creative resources, to transform strategic marketing plans into actionable campaigns. The role requires hands-on expertise in various marketing tactics, including direct mail, email marketing, marketing automation, etc.
Day in the Life: Client Consultation & Relationship Management: Collaborate with Marketing Consultants to manage client relationships, focusing on understanding client needs, goals, and organizational culture. Identify, develop, and implement strategic marketing campaigns that leverage client data to drive card portfolio growth and overall business success. As needed, participate in monthly client meetings to evaluate campaign performance, manage active campaigns, and plan future marketing activities.
Campaign Planning & Execution: Execute strategic marketing plans provided by Marketing Consultants, ensuring that campaigns are aligned with client objectives and deliver measurable outcomes. Develop pre-campaign estimates to project potential performance and ROI of marketing campaigns. Monitor and track marketing campaigns, analyzing key metrics such as response rates, ROI, and member engagement to optimize campaign effectiveness. Be hands-on in the execution of marketing tactics, including direct mail, email marketing and the use of marketing automation tools to streamline and enhance campaign delivery.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Work closely with data analysts to extract meaningful insights from credit union member data, translating these insights into actionable marketing reports. Maintain and analyze competitive matrices, staying current with industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
Expertise in Marketing Tactics: Apply expert knowledge of direct mail, email marketing and marketing automation to develop and execute campaigns that effectively reach target audiences and drive engagement. Leverage marketing automation platforms to create, manage, and optimize multi-channel campaigns, ensuring that all marketing activities are integrated and aligned with client strategies. Continuously explore and implement new marketing tactics and tools to enhance campaign effectiveness and efficiency.
Collaboration & Communication: Maintain effective communication with internal teams, including Client Growth Executives and Strategic Consultants, to ensure a cohesive approach to client relationships and marketing activities. Create clear and concise communication materials that summarize findings, support recommendations, and provide necessary detail for client and internal stakeholders. Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and deploy new marketing campaigns and automation tools.
Continuous Learning & Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and advancements in marketing strategies, ensuring that recommendations are current and relevant. Engage in continuous learning opportunities, including attending internal training sessions and staying informed about financial services and technology innovations.
Process Improvement & Efficiency: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the marketing function, recommending and implementing changes that enhance productivity and scale. Operate with an entrepreneurial spirit, seeking to optimize resources and drive efficient marketing operations.
Risk Management & Compliance: Monitor and assess risks associated with marketing initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Maintain accurate documentation of work papers, data, plans, and results to support transparency and intellectual capital within the organization.
Additional Responsibilities: Perform market research as needed to support campaign development and client consultation. Assist with the billing and reconciliation of consulting services, managing client discounts and ensuring accurate financial tracking. Execute financial performance models to evaluate the impact of marketing campaigns on client portfolios and organizational goals. Take on additional duties as assigned by leadership to support the overall success of the Consulting Marketing team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, Statistics other related field or combination of education and experience required. Four (4) years of marketing quantitative analysis experience and/or direct credit card, debit, and digital marketing required. Client service experience. Knowledge of underwriting practices, collection practices, credit unions service models, credit and debit processing, fees, interchange, and pricing. About Velera

Pay Equity $60,500.00 to $77,100.00 Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
