Responsibilities
Create review, and edit technical documents related to disaster fieldwork or specialized fields of expertise. Exceptional communication and documentation skills to ensure the clarity and accuracy of complex information. Collaborates with subject matter experts and project teams to develop comprehensive documentation and reports. Requirements
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study and at least 5 years of experience in disaster fieldwork or technical writing. Graduate-level degree or professional registration with at least 2 years of experience in disaster fieldwork or technical writing is preferred. Alternatively, 10 years of experience in disaster fieldwork or a related field of expertise.
Proficiency in desktop publishing, multimedia production, and online documentation tools. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to respond to changing guidance, priorities, and processes. FEMA Training Preferred:
IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal - Transparency at Every Step IS-1004: The FEMA Site Inspection Process IS-1018: Determination Memorandums and Appeals 7116: Program Delivery Manager 7117: Site Inspection.
Work onsite in North Carolina. EOD Required.
