SALARY RANGE: $70,449/yr - $108,139/yr. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, and/or experience.
Provides administrative support for Captains, Lieutenants, and Civilian equivalents.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:- At least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to comprehend and communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
- U.S. Citizen or possess a current permanent resident card.
- Clean criminal history; any arrest history will be individually evaluated.
- No illegal drug usage within the past year. Other drug usage will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) AND one (1) year of related experience and/or training OR the equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Experience with mobile video systems and/or evidence is preferred.
- Ability to supervise and monitor employee performance for all Mobile Video System Unit (MVSU) Coordinators. Analyzes, resolves, or assists subordinates in resolving work problems as needed.
- Ability to process requests for copies of assigned recording devices and in-car camera video systems (Mobile Video Systems - MVS) from various entities.
- Ability to identify and retrieve videos and shares information to Records & Identification Section for processing according to agency policy.
- Ability to maintain records, databases, and files of mobile video system recordings. Reviews, downloads, and processes MVS video files.
- Ability to demonstrate operation of MVS equipment to deputies assigned the equipment.
- Ability to prepare training reports.
- Ability to train, coach, and mentor new staff and other agency personnel.
- Ability to coordinate the servicing and overall maintenance of the MVS devices.
- Ability to perform troubleshooting and repairs on MVS devices as needed. Maintains a maintenance log of all MVS.
- Ability to coordinate the scheduled audits of MVS and facilitates communication of audit outcome to affected units.
- Ability to establish working relationship with MVS representatives and acts as a Subject Matter Expert for the MVS technology, laws, policies, and procedures.
- Ability assigns and tracks equipment and is responsible for the overall management of the MVS.
- Ability to assign drivers, devices and video events and utilizes the online database for Drive CAM devices.
- Ability to facilitate public speaking engagements for small and large of audiences.
- Ability to assist and present court testimony when necessary.
- Ability to assess equipment, software, and training needs of unit and makes recommendations to superiors.
- Ability to perform administrative tasks to include written correspondence, record keeping, and maintaining sensitive information/files.
- Must have proficient supervisory/management skills.
- Must have advanced computer technology skills in order to use specialized video and audio software applications.
- Must have intermediate computer skills for word processing, presentation, email, and database applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
- Must have the ability to learn all aspects of body worn camera and in-car camera technology, including basic repair.
- Must be able to comprehend and communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
