About the Role

We are seeking a Public Relations Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our PR functions and showroom in our New York Head Office. As the Public Relations Assistant, you will play a key role in sample coordination, press outreach, and guest experience, while ensuring our showroom reflects the PURPLE brand. This role is well-suited for someone with a strong interest in PR and visual presentation, with strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for in-person visits and incoming calls; represent Purple’s values in every interaction.
• Manage all sample trafficking for editorial requests, celebrity pulls, and influencer placements.
• Manage sample inventory, ensuring all inbound/outbound movement is accurately logged.
• Ensure the showroom is consistently styled and presentable.
• Assist in fittings and photoshoots, preparing samples and documenting notes.
• Monitor and compile press clippings, coverage reports, and editorial credits.
• Coordinate with the Marketing team to prepare press kits and ensure distribution to relevant media contacts.
• Support the execution of PR events, press previews, and showroom appointments.
• Maintain showroom cleanliness and merchandising in preparation for Market Week and key appointments.
• Support Design, Product Development, and Production teams in tracking sample progress and updates.
• Ensure all showroom supply needs are communicated and addressed promptly.
• Assist in managing interns and daily workflows as needed.
• Answer phones and direct incoming calls with a high level of energy and professionalism.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in PR, showroom coordination, or a related fashion role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; confident when interfacing with media, partners, and guests.
• Proficiency in Excel and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of luxury retail and streetwear.
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday.
• Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 (based on skills and experience).
