Department Summary UCLA Lake Arrowhead Lodge is a unique Southern California meeting and retreat venue. Located high in the pine-studded San Bernardino Mountains on the tranquil shores of Lake Arrowhead, our 50-acre lodge provides meeting space and accommodations for groups from September through mid-June. During the summer, Bruins Woods Family Camp program runs for ten consecutive weeks, with up to 80 families attending each week. Position Summary Under the direction of the Guest Experience Manager and supervision of the Guest Experience Coordinator, the Visual Art Instructor will assist in the administration and implementation of various Arts & Crafts programs as part of the overall guest experience at LAL. Responsibilities include program development, preparation, set-up, inventory management, organization, instructional support, and clean-up. Visual Art Instructors are expected to maintain the high standard of customer service set by the LAL team. Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications Possess exceptional customer service-orientated skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively cater to guests' needs and provide them with a comfortable experience. (Required) Highly developed interpersonal communication skills, including political acumen and social perceptiveness. (Required) Experience maintaining a high standard of productivity despite frequent interruptions. Ability to complete a large volume of diverse tasks efficiently, meeting established deadlines (Required) Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse populations with competing priorities (Required) Ability to use independent, rational judgment, take initiative, and follow through on assignments with minimal direction (Required) Skill in writing grammatically correct business English, such as conference proposals, memos, and other routine correspondence (Required) Demonstrated skill in working as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues, and maintaining cooperative working relationships (Required) Demonstrated proficiency in one or more areas of visual art, such as drawing and painting. (Required) Experience developing curriculum for visual art classes, workshops, and youth camps. Also experienced in teaching visual art to students of all ages.
