SUMMARY:The Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the marketing department with a variety of duties, including assisting with promotional planning and execution, event coordination, social media support, and general marketing initiatives. This role requires strong organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure smooth implementation of marketing efforts.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist the marketing department in successfully executing marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall brand and business objectives.Coordinate with various departments to ensure promotions and events are executed efficiently and in line with marketing objectives.Work closely with the Social Media Coordinator to create, schedule, and post social media content that aligns with promotional and event efforts.Ensure marketing materials, signage, and collateral are properly distributed and displayed for promotions and events.Draft promotion briefs, event descriptions, and communication materials to support marketing initiatives.Assist in managing talent bookings and coordinating logistics for scheduled performances and special events in the Event Center, Starlight Lounge, and other venues.Update and maintain the marketing calendar, ensuring accuracy and coordination across departments.Update community calendars with casino events and promotions.Collaborate with the team to ensure promotion rules, eligibility requirements, and execution plans comply with regulatory guidelines.Serve as a liaison between marketing and external vendors, ensuring promotional materials and event logistics are delivered on time.Provide on-site event support, including setup, coordination, and guest engagement.Coordinates with Marketing Database to prepare Pre- and Post-forma with its return on Investment (ROI) analysis of marketing initiatives, campaigns, promotions, and special events.Creates, distributes, and communicates all required support and impacted information, procedures, and rules to team members and other departments to provide the best preparations as well as guest services.Maintain confidentiality and uphold LCCR's "7 Waterways" of guest service standards.Perform other duties as assigned to support marketing department goals.ESSENTIAL BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONSMaintain confidentiality.Accountable to team members and the organization, for example, attends all meetings and trainings.Display sensitivity to Native American Culture and actively seek to learn more about the Squaxin Island Tribe.Operate within the parameters of the Little Creek Casino Resort Human Resources' policies, departmental policies, and all other applicable regulations.Practice, support, and maintain the mission, vision, and values of Little Creek Casino Resort (LCCR).Perform other work-related duties as assigned to support the success of LCCR.Learn and implement LCCR's "7 Waterways" of best guest practices.Build upon and diligently practice personal emotional intelligence, including self-awareness, self-management, self-regulation, social awareness, and relationship management.Demonstrate emotional intelligence in your explicit behaviors in your interpersonal work relationships with all team members, managers and supervisors, and our guests. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, or related field preferred.At least two years experience in marketing and/or promotions planning and execution; preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Gaming License issued from the Squaxin Island Gaming Commission Requires a Valid Washington State Driver License and must be insurable on the Tribe's insurance.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
