Job Description
SALARY: $15.56 - $16.18/hourly - The position will be compensated in four step raises to be awarded annually on the anniversary date of employment.
SCHEDULE
Part-time position (12 hours per week during the school year and 19 hours per week in July and August).
This is a year-round position with morning, afternoon, evening hours and up to three out of four Saturday work assignments.
The position will be subject to a six (6) month probationary work period.

REPORTS TO: Head Circulation Services Librarian, Library Director
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: N/A
Essential Functions
The Library Page primarily assists with the library's circulation operations focused on the lending and returning of library resources, shelving, retrieval and organization library materials, and assisting with basic patron inquiries.
- Shelving and retrieves library materials
- Assists patrons using computer resources
- Assists patrons in using microfilm readers and copy machine
- Assists in troubleshooting microfilm readers and copy machine
- Checks in and displays periodicals
- Empties sidewalk drop boxes
- Cleans library material
- Shelf reads collection
- Performs light custodial and snow removal duties
- Performs other duties as assigned by a designated library supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED AT HIRE
- High school student or High School Diploma required
- Ability to follow directions and complete work accurately required
- Ability to meet scheduling requirements of library required
- Ability to carry book bags and boxes weighing 30 - 40 pounds
- Ability to relate to patrons and staff with professional friendliness, patience, tact and resourcefulness
- Demonstrates commitment to working with diverse populations and furthering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
