ROGERCO, Inc. (RCI) is seeking an experienced wordsmith to join a team supporting a Navy contract in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate for the Senior Speech Writer (Strategic) position will have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to work with senior leaders to develop messaging that aligns with their speaking style. 10+ years of experience as a speechwriter required. This is an in-person position located in Washington, DC and requires a Secret security clearance. This position is contingent upon contract award.

- Work with senior leadership to identify and prioritize strategic messaging and talking points that align with the customer's goals and initiatives.
- Provide speechwriting for senior leadership that matches their speaking style and accounts for the desired messages.
- Assist with the development of strategic communication documents.
Qualifications:
- Location: Washington, DC
- Experience: 10+ years experience as a speechwriter, preferably in a military setting.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism or a related field.
- Clearance: Active DOD Secret Security Clearance.
- Knowledge of Congress, DOD, the Navy and NAVSEA current events preferred.
- Understanding of NAVSEA, Naval history, heritage and events desired.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to convey complex ideas in concise, logical ways.
- Demonstrated record of speechwriting experience for senior defense and/or military industry leaders preferred.
