Design of fire alarm and fire suppression systems
Review and development of life safety plans
Life safety and building code consulting
Collaboration with a variety of engineering and architectural disciplines
Development of site fire protection features and fire department access plans
Communication with clients and writing technical reports
Under limited supervision, coordinate and prepare schematic design, design development and construction documents
Assist in spatial coordination with architecture and other engineering systems
Work collaboratively in a cross-discipline environment to produce integrated project documents, and insure integrated design approaches & solutions
Qualifications
Associates Degree Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent
CFPS and/or NICET Certification preferred
Experience in fire suppression, fire alarm, and life safety review and design
Experience with Revit, AutoCad, and fire protection related computational programs
Knowledge of ICC and NFPA codes and standards
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
