We are looking for a
Marketing Product Manager - Small Business
to support the overall marketing vision for the small business segment. Reporting to the Small Business Segment Marketing Director, this key role will partner across teams to execute marketing strategies and initiatives that align with organizational goals and the vision of Small Business Accountable executives and Enterprise Leaders.
Essential Functions: Campaign Development & Execution: Lead cross-functional go-to-market planning and execution for product launches, including campaign development, customer communications, and sales enablement. Product Positioning & Messaging: Develop and refine product positioning and messaging that resonates with target audiences and is differentiated in the market. Influence & Alignment: Partner with stakeholders across a matrixed organizational environment to align marketing priorities and drive consensus. Customer & Market Insights: Collaborate with research, analytics, and product teams to gather and interpret customer and market insights that inform product development, marketing strategies, and competitive positioning. Customer Advocacy: Serve as the voice of the small business customer in marketing discussions, ensuring strategies and messaging reflect their needs and challenges. Customer Journey Mapping: Collaborate with product and analytics teams to inform and enhance the end-to-end customer journey for small business clients, identifying opportunities to improve experience and retention. Sales Enablement: Create sales tools, presentations, and training materials to support the sales team in effectively communicating product value. Content Development: Partner with content and creative teams to support the development of product-focused materials such as brochures, web copy, case studies, and customer communications that align with brand and regulatory standards. Performance Tracking & Optimization: Monitor and report on campaign performance, product adoption, and market impact; optimizing strategies based on data-driven insights. Regulatory Awareness Ensure all marketing materials and campaigns comply with banking regulations and internal risk policies. Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, business, communications, finance, or related field and 5+ years' experience in product management, product analysis, design and development, preferably in financial services or B2B environments, or other directly related experience. Demonstrated ability to navigate a complex, matrixed organization to build relationships and drive alignment across stakeholders including product, compliance, legal, sales, and executive teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex situations, identify root causes, and develop thoughtful, strategic solutions. Experience working cross-functionally with product, sales, legal, and compliance teams to deliver multiple go-to-market projects simultaneously and effectively. Understanding of financial products and services, especially small business banking, including deposit and lending solutions. Familiarity with B2B marketing principles, including understanding of business decision-making processes, value-based messaging, and multi-stakeholder engagement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex products into clear, compelling messages. Familiarity with marketing compliance in a regulated industry, including experience working with legal, compliance, and risk teams. Strong attention to detail, especially when reviewing marketing materials for accuracy, clarity, and compliance. Ability to empathize with small business owners and translate their needs into effective marketing strategies.
This is a 5 day in-office position. This is not a hybrid role.
Locations: may sit in Salt Lake City or Midvale, UT or San Francisco, CA **
San Franciso salary range: ($90-$150) based on experience and other job-related factors. Utah salary range: ($90-$120) Benefits:
