What’s the position?
We are looking for a proactive and creative communications specialist to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in creating storytelling opportunities based on Hard Rock Bet’s internal betting data, identifying trends, and building media relationships. This role will support the broader communications team in its mission to increase brand awareness, drive traffic, and enhance Hard Rock Bet’s online presence in the highly competitive sports betting and online gaming industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Media Outreach & Relationship Building:
   Assist in creating and maintaining a database of journalists, bloggers, and influencers within the sports and betting niche.
   Pitch story ideas, press releases, and campaign initiatives to relevant media contacts.


2. Campaign Execution:
   Ideate, create, and execute creative PR campaigns based on Hard Rock Bet’s internal betting data.
   Conduct research in concert with the business intelligence team on trends, sports events, and audience behavior to inform campaign strategies.


3. Content Creation:
   Collaborate with the content team to develop press releases, articles, and blog posts that resonate with target audiences.
   Help create engaging multimedia content (videos, infographics, etc.) for campaigns.


4. Monitoring & Reporting:
   Track media coverage and campaign performance, compiling detailed reports on reach, engagement, and sentiment.
   Monitor competitor activities and identify opportunities for strategic positioning.


5. Social Media Engagement:
   Assist in managing social media channels and amplifying PR campaigns through these platforms.
   Engage with audiences to foster positive interactions and address inquiries or concerns.


6. Awards & Events:
   Track awards opportunities and assist with applications.
   Monitor local and industry events for opportunities to promote Hard Rock Bet.

What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have:

1. 1-3 years of experience in Public Relations, digital marketing, content creation, communications or a related field, preferably in the sports industry.
2. Strong knowledge and passion for sports, sports betting, and casino gaming.
3. Strong research skills and ability to distill complex information into clear, engaging content.
4. Understanding of SEO principles and experience optimizing content for search engines.
5. Familiarity with media outreach tools and social media platforms.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality, error-free content.
8. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
9. Familiarity and comfort using WordPress CMS.
