About The Role
The Senior Development Manager will play a key role within Acast’s Creator Network, supporting content strategy implementation, managing acquisition pipelines, and identifying suitable creators. Reporting to the Director of Content, you'll collaborate with Partnerships, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure content aligns with company goals. This role requires a creative thinker, skilled negotiator, and content enthusiast, with a focus on discovering and nurturing talent and streamlining internal processes.
Responsibilities
- Content Development Management: Manage the acquisition process from identifying targets to negotiating and signing partnerships; track projects and communicate updates.
- Talent Scouting & Pipeline Building: Identify emerging talent, develop monitoring systems, and pitch Acast’s offerings to creators.
- Project & Workflow Optimization: Optimize workflows, set up tracking systems, and coordinate timelines.
- Deal Support & Contracting: Lead negotiations, maintain documentation, and ensure efficient contract processes.
- MG Program Execution: Track and report on MG programs, flag risks, and suggest improvements.
- Internal Team Support: Communicate key updates and onboard stakeholders to new tools and systems.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and other teams to align initiatives.
- Audience Insight & Analytics: Use metrics and research to refine pitches and identify trends.
- Industry Research: Stay updated on trends, formats, and talent in the podcasting space.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, Journalism, or related; Master’s preferred.
- At least 5 years in content acquisition, digital media, or entertainment.
- Proven ability to identify and develop compelling content and creators.
- Strong organizational skills; familiar with tools like Airtable, Monday.com.
- Excellent communication skills for pitching and stakeholder engagement.
- Deep knowledge of podcasting trends, formats, and monetization.
