Commercial Counsel, Advertising Partnerships
Meta seeks a diligent and proactive technology lawyer to serve as Commercial Counsel to support its advertising, measurement, and platform partnerships. You will be drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements and supporting a variety of programs, products, and initiatives in support of Meta’s advertising, measurement, and platform partnerships. You will also advise clients on the various legal risks, business strategies, and other issues related to commercial transactions and general operations. This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team and work on cutting-edge issues in an exciting environment. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Contract drafting, negotiation, and advisory responsibilities for Meta’s advertising, measurement, and platform partnerships and products.
- Provide strategic legal and business advice to facilitate long-term relationships with key partners.
- Manage and resolve legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships.
- Commercial transaction support for other departments as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent).
- Active membership in at least one US state bar and eligibility to obtain registered in-house counsel status (if required by the State Bar in the assigned work location).
- 3+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, including at a law firm and/or in-house or government experience.
- Demonstrate business judgment and client counseling skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of technology transactions experience, working with internet, mobile, or other technology companies, either in-house and/or at a law firm.
- Experience drafting and negotiating complex strategic transactions.
- Experience with online advertising.
- Experience with privacy laws, compliance, regulations, and industry guidelines, especially including those relevant for social media and Internet companies.
- Experience working under your own initiative and managing multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams, to think creatively and be solution-oriented.
- Willingness and capacity to manage numerous deals, meet tight deadlines, and work extended hours when necessary to complete projects.
Compensation: US$140,000/year to US$196,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits. Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or sales incentives, if applicable.
