Fox & Friends is looking for a dynamic Supervising Writer. As a Supervising Writer, you will never get beat on a story, have an eye for catchy stories, and have a passion for current events. You will supervise a team of Writers and collaborate with Executive and Senior Producers to craft the tone of a fast-paced show. The Supervising Writer will assign stories to writers and manage the gathering of all video and sound bites, as well as fact-check stories and research news topics. The Supervising Writer will also remain a key player during breaking news, leading the team, and executing coverage that sets the tone for the entire channel in the morning. A Snapshot Of Your Responsibilities Manage a team of writers Oversee all content and elements for daily news stories Communicate critical story information with writers, producers, and managers Write attention-grabbing teasers Be a true leader among a team of talented writers What You Will Need 4+ years of live national or local major market experience Demonstrate ability to write creative/edgy stories and teasers Ability to work well in a fast-paced and intense atmosphere Ability to multitask on tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment Ability to manage a team during breaking news with clear instructions and communication Ability to identify catchy stories that people discuss throughout the day Willingness to work overnight and weekends Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience INews experience is a plus We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $95,000.00-107,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
