We're a leading product company in the heart of New York City, looking for a top-level Senior Package Designer to create packaging so good, it practically jumps off the shelves and into shopping carts. We're talking about hard goods – cookware, kitchen gadgets, Automotive, Personal care, electrical and non-electrical appliances, fitness and wellness, home improvement, lighting, lawn and garden, the whole shebang! What You'll Do (Besides Making Us Look Awesome): Conceptualize and execute innovative packaging designs that are both visually stunning and functional (because, let's face it, nobody wants a box that requires a PhD to open). Collaborate with our marketing and product teams to understand the brand, target audience, and product features (so you know, you're not designing a box for a toaster oven that looks like it belongs on a spaceship). Stay up-to-date on the latest packaging trends, materials, and technologies (because the only thing worse than a boring box is an outdated box). Create dielines and prototypes (because we believe in seeing is believing). Manage multiple projects simultaneously (because in our business, things move fast!). What You'll Need (Besides a Sense of Humor): A killer portfolio showcasing your packaging prowess (bonus points for designs that made us snort with laughter). 5+ years of experience in package design, specifically with hard goods (we need someone who knows the difference between a saucepan and a sauté pan) We also design packages for a hundred other products. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (because, well, duh). A strong understanding of printing processes and materials (because we want our boxes to look as good in person as they do on screen). Excellent communication and collaboration skills (because teamwork makes the dream work…and the packaging look amazing). What We Offer (Besides a Steady Supply of Coffee): A competitive salary (enough to buy all the fancy kitchen gadgets your packaging inspires). Comprehensive benefits package (including health insurance, paid time off, and a company discount on our awesome products). A fun and collaborative work environment in the heart of NYC (because who wouldn't want to work in the Big Apple?). The chance to make a real impact on our brand (your designs could be the next big thing!). NYC - In Office Send fantastic resume and portfolio to Joanie@joanstock.com
