Please read the information in this job post thoroughly to understand exactly what is expected of potential candidates.In addition, the Executive Director will lead significant transformation efforts within the Divisional Finance organization and serve as a bridge with the accounting organization (GFO). The focus will be on optimizing FP&A processes and establishing a collaborative environment in which continuous process improvement is delivered.Core Responsibilities:Consolidation of Media Networks Forecast/Budget/MRPOversee the consolidation and submission of periodic financial projections for the Media Networks. This includes annual budget, a 2-year strategic (“Mid-Range”) plan, and quarterly forecasts of income statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets for all Media Networks lines of business
Coordinate and communicate with Media Networks divisional finance teams to ensure timely, accurate, and complete reporting of financial information. Coordinate for any potential resubmissions
Define the process, set timelines and scope, and ensure efficiency and effectiveness across Media Networks and direct-to-consumer business around the globe
Collaboration with colleagues across multiple time-zones on requirements and deliverables
High-level understanding and investigating Media Networks performance versus latest view expectations
Quality control to ensure synchronization of numbers across various materials, and management of submission process via the Media Networks planning system, and through to Corporate Planning team and senior stakeholders
Coordinate with Divisional Finance teams to prepare divisional finance planning calendars
Divisional Finance Processes OptimizationManage the global FP&A calendar for each planning cycle
Support Divisional Finance teams with coordination and key planning inputs to ensure successful three-week forecast cycles
Establish and drive process optimization across the Divisional Finance organization
Support all Divisional Finance teams, working together on projects to ensure most efficient global practices
Perform continuous assessments of global FP&A processes to help improve the accuracy and completeness of SPE’s Forecasts
Special Projects and Ad Hoc RequestsLead or assist in special projects (e.g., 3-week Forecast initiative, Seamless Data Access (SDA) initiative, Media Networks profit center hierarchy reorganization, etc.)
Prepare ad hoc Media Networks financial reports or schedules for senior SPE management as needed
FP&A SystemsIPS/System Maintenance: Manage FP&A consolidation system & reports and evaluate for changes to profit center hierarchy and chart of accounts
Guide new Media Networks FP&A system implementations
Requirements:BS in Accounting/Finance preferred
10+ years extensive experience of consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, planning and analysis as well as finance process improvement preferred
Solutions focused, with an Impact Player “can do” mindset, able to operate effectively in a deadline driven environment with the highest professional standards of integrity and ethics Experience in the Media/Television/D2C/Broadcasting is a plus, but not a prerequisite
Ability to improve, simplify, standardize, systemize, and automate complex processes
Knowledge of accounting principles (income statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets)
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills; detail-oriented
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a challenging, fast-paced environment
Self-starter with a positive attitude and ability to work independently
Ability to build strong relationships with multiple teams around the world
Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor
Data science knowledge and experience. Fluency in Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of SAP preferred. Analytics tools experience like Power BI, BPC/SAP and/or general accounting/budgeting systems and advanced Excel functionality are a plus.
Public Accounting, MBA, Entertainment experience preferred
