WHY BOX NEEDS YOU
The Director of Content Strategy is key leadership role on the Global Communications team. We are seeking a forward thinker who has a track record delivering content strategies that drive increased awareness and audience engagement. As the editor-in-chief of our flagship content channels, including the web, the blog, and social, you will bring our corporate narrative to life by crafting, editing, and creating content that is modern, creative, and authentic. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop and implement an innovative content strategy that positions Box as the leading provider of Enterprise AI in the market
- Oversee a team of writers and social media experts
- Develop a high volume of high performing content that resonates with key audience segments across multiple platforms and formats, and is highly visible across Box's c-suite
- Partner closely with Campaigns, Digital Marketing, and Product Marketing teams to create a cohesive content strategy that drives demand and engages customers throughout all stages of the marketing funnel
- Collaborate with Brand and Video Production teams to create compelling visual content that stands out for being creative while aligning to our brand voice
- Set and lead clear targets for engagement strategies and acquisition initiatives. Create team goals and objectives and track, measure, and analyze content performance to meet them
- Identify new approaches and strategies by conducting thorough research on industry trends, target audience preferences, and competitor analysis
- Own the strategy to re-build the blog, including modernizing our platform and developing a strategy for creating content quickly and consistently
- Run editorial meetings and oversee content calendar
- Manage budget for social and content creation and distribution
- Continuously improve the performance of content by analyzing data insights and implementing necessary adjustments

Required Skills:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent
- 12+ years total experience in Content Marketing and or Communications experience
- 3+ years of leadership experience
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex topics clearly
- Expertise in both traditional and emerging media and channels
- Proficient in adapting to new technologies like AI and immersive media
- Deep understanding of content dynamics across various media types, including images, video, and audio
- Expertise in developing and driving content strategies, with a focus on evolving a single narrative across multiple channels and audiences
- Executive presence and proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity working with Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Drupal to publish and organize content
- Expertise in operational analytics with an ability to track performance and apply data-driven decision-making
- Proficiency with design software including Adobe Photoshop or Premiere Pro to create visually appealing images, videos and graphics that enhance your content

Actual base salary (or OTE if commissionable role) is dependent upon factors such as: knowledge, skill level, experience, and work location. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits. $184,000-$230,000 USD
