Summary
The Senior Fashion Photographer will lead fashion shoots, conceptualize high-end visual campaigns, and capture compelling images that align with the Buckle brand aesthetic. The Teammate in this role has a strong portfolio in fashion photography, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to bring creative concepts to life through photography.

Photography and Creative Direction
- Plan, direct, and execute high-end fashion photo shoots for campaigns, editorials, and e-commerce.
- Work closely with models, stylists, and creative teams to produce visually stunning images.
- Ensure consistency in lighting, composition, and brand identity across all visuals.
- Experiment with new photography techniques, lighting setups, and compositions to push creative boundaries.
Project Management and Collaboration
- Collaborate with Creative Director, Art Directors, Photographers, Studio Manager, and Stylists for execution and production of content.
- Maintain cross-functional relationships with the studio operations and brand creative partners to strive for cohesive photo outcomes.
- Oversee pre-production tasks such as location scouting, set design, and shot planning.
- Ensure timely delivery of images for marketing, advertising, and publication deadlines.
- Uphold the company culture by creating an inclusive environment through positive interactions with models and teammates.
Technical and Equipment Management
- Operate and maintain professional camera equipment, lighting, and other photography gear.
- Stay up to date with the latest photography trends, software, and fashion industry standards.
- Direct and mentor junior photographers, assistants, and interns to maintain high production standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a fashion photographer, with a strong portfolio showcasing fashion editorials, campaigns, and commercial work. Direct ecommerce photography for a fashion retailer preferred.
- Expertise in studio and natural lighting techniques.
- Strong understanding of fashion trends, styling, and visual storytelling.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in directing models and working with creative teams.
General
- Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive team spirit.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Teammate in this role will supervise all Teammates in the junior and mid-level fashion photography roles. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include hiring and training Teammates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Teammates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Photography, Fine Arts, or a related field; and three to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with high-profile fashion brands or publications.
- Knowledge of video production is a plus.
