Overview
Oculus Studios Central Technology is a central team within Oculus Studios, dedicated to improving shared technologies and empowering First Party Oculus Studios (Armature Studios, Beat Games, BigBox VR, Camouflaj, Sanzaru Games, Twisted Pixel, Supernatural, and OURO) in their mission to create compelling content. We are seeking engineers who are excited to work with Oculus Studios and help develop immersive experiences. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in developing and maintaining common solutions for game studios and providing direct support to these studios.
Required Skills : Senior Software Engineer - Oculus Studios Central Technology Responsibilities :
Work directly with the Oculus Studios Technical Director to establish priorities and technology goals across multi-year efforts.
Implement consistent and accountable systems in a dynamic development environment that our first-party developers can rely on.
Establish and maintain relationships with Oculus partners, acting as a technical representative and facilitating developer impact to other teams.
Promote technical knowledge sharing within Oculus Studios through documentation, demo materials, code examples, and advocacy.
Minimum Qualifications :
8+ years of experience in learning new approaches, coding languages, and Meta-specific solutions.
5+ years of experience in immersive media or game development.
5+ years of development experience in Unreal, Unity, or native engines.
Expertise in C / C++ / C# coding within 3D entertainment or gaming.
Broad knowledge of game development and/or enterprise-scale infrastructure.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to bring products to life.
Preferred Qualifications :
Shipped AAA titles or large enterprise solutions.
8+ years of experience in developing and maintaining development infrastructure for games or large-scale enterprise environments.
Experience with frameworks such as GraphQL, Graph API, Ent Framework.
Experience as a Full-Stack developer in large-scale distributed environments.
Building supportable solutions with proactive alerting, monitoring, and product metrics.
Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, etc.).
Experience working with distributed computing platforms.
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering.
Compensation and Additional Information : Annual salary ranges from $177,000 to $251,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
