We are looking for an experienced Product Design Manager to join our Media Platforms team. This team oversees Yahoo's critical internal tools, including our CMS and Partner Platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong history of delivering innovative, user-centric design solutions and will lead a talented team of product designers to create and improve platform products that meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of senior and principal-level product designers within the Media Platforms team.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and design excellence.
- Mentor and manage product designers by providing clear direction, constructive feedback, and career guidance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and data scientists, to define and execute the product roadmap.
- Partner with user research teams to gain insights into user behavior and inform design strategies.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to communicate design concepts and solutions to stakeholders.
- Stay informed about design trends and emerging technologies to ensure our platform remains competitive.
- Focus on creating intuitive and user-friendly products by delivering consumer-grade experiences for enterprise-level challenges.
- Provide clear, actionable feedback while fostering open communication, especially in situations involving friction or uncertainty.
Requirements
- Extensive go-to-market (GTM) knowledge and experience working directly with internal GTM teams, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Proven experience leading teams and individual contributors in high-complexity, multi-segment platform settings.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Expertise in user-centered design, design thinking, and design process methodologies.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels effectively.
- Strategic mindset with the capability to make data-driven design decisions.
- Deep commitment to understanding customer needs and solving their problems effectively.
- Passion for innovation and a drive to push boundaries in platform design.
- A robust portfolio showcasing your design expertise, problem-solving skills, and user-centered approach.

The compensation for this position ranges from $143,625.00 - $299,375.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills, and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
