Senior Manager, Business Communications Operations
We are looking for a resourceful, detail-oriented, and collaborative Senior Manager, Business Communications Operations to support Visa’s Global Business, Product and Brand Communications organization. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a global team developing the internal and external strategy, messaging, and campaigns for the revenue driving functions of the business.
To excel in this role, you will be an exceptional project manager, problem solver, and communicator with a focus on driving operational rigor, strong collaboration, and efficient coordination among business communications leads at Visa. You will help set up key processes, resources, routines, and governance to ensure we share best practices and leverage the regional and business/functional business communications leads in building and executing global communications plans. You also will play a key role in supporting the VP’s leadership of an engaged and effective team.
Essential Functions
- Evaluate and oversee the External Communications Resource Hub, a centralized resource for regional colleagues to locate and use current and accurate communications materials.
- Manage the team’s calendar of upcoming product and technology announcements to ensure coordination across the organization.
- Write and edit content as needed, from email communications to presentation slides.
- Create and maintain an archive of communications materials and templates to drive best practices across the team.
- Assist the VP and her leadership team in setting up a well-managed and structured operating cadence – including curating the agenda for team meetings, cross-functional team meetings, quarterly reviews, etc. to ensure the right items are raised at the right time, and that materials are prepared well in advance.
- Track, manage and draft award submissions and case studies for the Global Business, Product and Brand Communications team.
- Develop and manage intern and new graduate program submissions for the Global Business, Product and Brand Communications team.
- Support the VP in developing internal and external communications.
- Format and send announcements, invitations, and other executive communications to the enterprise.
- Track the team’s quarterly budget, and assist with the annual budgeting and planning process.
- Manage the team’s weekly tracking of announcements.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Basic Qualifications
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, marketing, journalism, or a similar field.
• Experience in fintech, financial services, or another relevant area strongly preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Team oriented, collaborative, and flexible.
• Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proven record of planning and managing cross-functional efforts.
• Highly organized with an operational mindset and keen ability to translate ideas into programs.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
• An eagerness to accept feedback to learn and grow professionally.
• Interest in seeking and adopting current trends and best practices in employee communications.
• A self-starter and resourceful problem solver.
• Ability to manage by influence within a matrixed environment.
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, and frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 142,200.00 to 206,350.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
