Prospectblue is partnered with a client in Richmond, VA seeking an experienced UX Manager - Ecommerce to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping their digital user experience, ensuring their e-commerce storefront meets best-in-class standards of usability, accessibility, and satisfaction. The ideal candidate has a strong background in digital UX/UI strategy, a passion for e-commerce, merchandising and a proven ability to design interfaces that enhance the overall customer journey.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, both internal and external, including brand management, graphic design, growth marketing, product management, operational management, development, and marketing, to enhance the user journey and drive ecommerce success.
User Experience Strategy:
- Support the development and execution of a comprehensive UX strategy aligned with business goals and user needs.
- Lead UX requirements gathering and documentation processes, working closely with cross functional teams.
User Interface Design and Prototyping:
- Create user flows, wireframes, and mockups to design intuitive user interfaces that align with ecommerce best practices and enhance the overall user experience.
- Optimize website layouts and navigation for seamless customer journeys, focusing on improving conversion rates and user engagement.
- Manage external developers to ensure the successful implementation of UI designs, providing necessary assets and guidance.
- Conduct and coordinate acceptance testing as necessary.
CMS Product Management:
- Lead a coordinated effort to implement our new headless CMS platform, ensuring seamless integration across applications and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Serve as the product lead and subject matter expert for the CMS post-implementation aligning usage with business goals.
- Collaborate with content and product information teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into the CMS, optimizing site structure, metadata, and URLs to improve organic search performance.
Research and Analysis:
- Utilize data-driven approaches to identify optimization opportunities, making informed and ROI-driven recommendations for project roadmap additions and prioritization.
- Conduct usability testing and monitor customer/associate feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
- Stay informed about industry trends, ecommerce best practices, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS AND PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s in User Experience Design, Graphic Design, Marketing, Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience (4-6 years) leading UX/UI Design projects focused on e-commerce.
- In-depth knowledge of UX/UI principles and user-centered design methodologies.
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools, software, and platforms.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage enterprise level platforms and excellent project management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Process oriented with a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Passion for continuous improvement and staying updated on best practices.
- Certifications or relevant coursework in UI/UX design is a plus.
