Job Title: Expeditor/Materials Coordinator Location with zip code: 14 Robbins Pond Rd, Devens, MA 01434 Duration: 3 to 6 months (Contract) Payrate : $26/hr. to $30/hr. on w2 without benefits Shift: 1st 7am - 3:30pmJob Description: Responsible for informing the status of orders and addressing any situations that may affect the production schedule. The primary duties include supporting receiving and stocking raw materials, support moving these materials throughout the manufacturing process as needed to maintain production schedules, and notifying management of production schedules along with any change notices. Additionally, the role involves performing physical counts of products and components in the manufacturing process or in storage to assist in inventory audits. This position requires strong computer skills especially in Excel, as well as an understanding of order picker operations. Experience and understanding of packing and shipping The physical demands of the job include the ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs and the capacity to stand for long periods of time.
Role & Responsibilities: Expedite the flow of work orders through the manufacturing process according to production and shipping schedules. Inform the status of orders and any situations affecting the production schedule. Receive and stock all raw materials. Move raw materials throughout the manufacturing process as needed to maintain production schedules. Review production schedule, schedule change notices, and reports or records of the status of work orders to identify any production delays. Follow up on special requests or work orders from production supervisors to support departments. Perform physical counts of products/components in the manufacturing process or in storage as needed to assist in inventory audits.
Requirements: Basic computer and math skills. Understanding of order picker operations. Experience in packing and shipping in a manufacturing fastener aerospace environment. Knowledge of Excel and Computer proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook etc.).
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
