Required Skill/ability 1: Outstanding interviewing, editing, and writing skills and ability to develop interesting content suitable for publication across digital and print channels. Three writing samples should be submitted.
Required Skill/ability 2: Proficiency with social media platforms, survey building tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with desktop publishing and layout programs such as Adobe's Creative Suite and ability to identify and learn new technology.
Required Skill/ability 3: Ability to develop relationships with faculty and other stakeholders of the department to develop content for distribution and manage the department's website and social media platforms.
Required Skill/ability 4: Demonstrated ability in developing communications for a range of media and working with creative professionals in design, photography or video.
Required Skill/ability 5: Demonstrated ability developing, disseminating, and maintaining web content.
Preferred Education: Master's degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field and 10 year of experience in editorial management, public relations, journalism, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience managing an editorial team, writing for publications in medicine/health care, and with social media in a medical/academic setting with multiple stakeholders.
Work Week: Standard (M-F equal number of hours per day)

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills: Master's degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field and 10 year of experience in editorial management, public relations, journalism, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's Degree and 10 years' experience in content production or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 5 years' experience leading a digital operation.
