The Director of Marketing & Communications has primary responsibility for marketing and public relations efforts to promote the school across multi-media platforms and to all constituent groups. This role supervises the Digital Media Coordinator. The Director of Marketing & Communications will work closely with the Head of School, the Chief Enrollment Officer, and the Chief Advancement Officer to develop strategic communications in support of institutional enrollment and advancement goals. This position will also work collaboratively with the Principal, members of the administrative team, and faculty and staff. This individual will need to prioritize multiple demands and deadlines, will have meticulous attention to detail, and will have a team spirit, strong work ethic, and a good sense of humor. Additionally, the ideal candidate will embrace a willingness to learn about and fully support the mission of the school. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS General: Work with senior leadership to help define the positioning of Ursuline Academy and the key messages to support Enrollment,
Advancement, and Schoolhouse efforts. Assist with marketing, copy, and design needs school-wide. Engage writers, designers, photographers, and videographers as needed. Assist with other duties in support of enrollment and advancement goals as needed. Marketing: Ensure that consistent, high-quality, brand messaging is reflected in all communications: digital, social media, and print. In consultation with senior leadership, develop all outward-facing materials such as brochures, signage, flyers, inserts, and videos. Function as webmaster for . Create and publish press releases, newsletters, and/or social media. Supervise digital communications staff in developing content for the school's social media channels and maintaining constant updates. Maintain the school's library of digital assets Admissions: Partner with the Enrollment Management Team and external media partner(s) to create an admissions marketing plan, including a comprehensive digital media campaign and the execution of select print materials or video features. Develop materials with the Chief Enrollment Officer for Admissions-related events In collaboration with the Chief Enrollment Officer, develop the communications budget Advancement: Partner with the Advancement Team to support the annual fund, alumnae relations, fundraising, and/or special events Produce annual advancement publication:

Magazine In collaboration with the Chief Advancement Officer, develop the communications budget Safety: Responsible for emergency and weather-related notifications Support the administration in maintaining and executing a crisis communications plan Actively participate on the Safety Committee QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, English or related field required from an accredited institution. 5 - 7 years of marketing, public relations, or digital media experience. Experience in an independent school or higher education setting is a plus. Knowledge of best practices for marketing, website, and social media campaigns. Knowledge of Finalsite or other website platforms is a plus. Strong organizational, written and verbal communication, listening, and presentation skills All prospective employees must be able to adequately clear a background check.
