Job Summary:
The Proposal Writer Intern is detail orientated and supports the Bids and Proposal (B&P) Team within the Business Development (BD) Group in drafting and preparing compelling proposals for clients, partners, and funding opportunities. The selected candidate will assist with writing, editing, and organizing proposal documents while gaining valuable experience in business development, project management, and client communication. This role provides exposure to the proposal process and helps develop strong technical writing, research, and organizational skills.

Compensation:
This pay band reflects Chloeta's good faith estimate of the range it expects to offer; Chloeta reserves the right to alter this range if business circumstances change.
- $18.50 per hour
- FLSA Non-Exempt
- Assists in drafting, editing, and proofreading proposals and related documents.
- Conducts research to gather relevant information for proposals, including industry trends, competitor analysis, and client needs.
- Organizes proposal content, ensuring it aligns with client requirements, guidelines, and objectives.
- Supports the creation of proposal templates, presentation materials, and supporting documents.
- Assists in formatting proposal documents to meet submission standards and ensure a professional presentation.
- Helps maintain and update proposal databases, including tracking proposal status and outcomes.
- Assists in the development of cost estimates and timelines for proposals.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including project managers, subject matter experts, and designers, to gather the necessary information for proposals.
- Participates in proposal strategy meetings to understand client needs and objectives.
- Completes administrative tasks related to the proposal process, such as organizing meetings, managing deadlines, and compiling feedback.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office .

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Required: Enrolled in a university or college program at junior or senior level, preferred course of study to include English, Communications, Journalism, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Required: At least 1 year of administrative office or writing/journalism/marketing experience
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds on occasion.
- This job operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
Pre-employment Requirements:
