Penguin Young Readers Group is seeking a highly organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented Associate Manager of Advertising and Marketing Operations to join our fast-paced and collaborative marketing team. This position represents the engine that will keep our projects on time, on budget, and efficiently connecting our books with parents and kids of all ages! The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating and trafficking marketing and advertising projects, with seamless communication across departments and adherence to deadlines. This role will execute responsibilities between advertising and retail marketing teams and will allow for connections with stakeholders from across our division, opportunities to learn and improve internal processes, and potential for growth.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Manage the operational processes for advertising campaigns including Filemaker Pro database management, creative brief creation, routing of creative with timely, streamlined communication to design, marketing and editorial teams.
- Coordinate marketing projects including Filemaker Pro database management, Edelweiss catalog creation, liaising with the design department on deadlines, and working with the sales team to ensure timely delivery and communication.
- Update schedules, marketing plans, and internal systems with marketing and advertising detail, adhering to seasonal sales schedules and deadlines
- Create Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP, and code and process invoices in SAP Coder Task Workflow
- Create marketing campaign websites, Amazon storefronts, sweepstakes forms, and fulfill giveaways.
- Provide updates to editorial, sales, and marketing departments via marketing plans, author presentation preparation, and media and marketing alerts

- 3-5 years of experience in a project management or similar role, preferably within the publishing or creative industry.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to organize and prioritize workload to accommodate shifting schedules and deadlines.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software such as Filemaker Pro.
The PRH office is located in New York, New York. The position is open to remote candidates.
The salary for this position is $66,500. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
