Base pay range
$115,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr
Bloomberg Media is seeking an experienced broadcast reporter to join its 24/7 global news network based out of our Washington, D.C. office. The broadcast reporter will contribute to our political coverage with reporting via Bloomberg News and TV/Radio/Podcasts.
Candidates should have extensive experience in visual and audio storytelling, knowledge of and experience in government and political news, including strong sourcing in the Washington and political arenas.
Our broadcast reporter will break news and report scoops for Bloomberg News and contribute to our live programs throughout the day on Bloomberg Television and Radio. Candidates should have the willingness to work with colleagues in the bureau and across the globe to cover stories with one voice to best serve multiple platforms.

- Make political video contributions across Bloomberg Television and Audio
- Elevate the newsgathering and storytelling efforts of our news, audio and video programs
- Work with newsroom resources across the globe to deliver well-told, balanced political/business stories to Bloomberg
- Contribute on-air across our platforms to help tell important details of breaking political and government news
- Network across the Washington D.C. area keeping a pulse on the news events of the moment while working to attract top newsmaker interviews to Bloomberg
- Raise the profile of Bloomberg Media on Capitol Hill and beyond making it a must-see for news makers in global government
- Build strong internal communication skills to help with news planning strategies, production elements and guest booking statuses to magnify story telling with one balanced voice
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of mid-major market TV/radio production experience
- Strong and balanced government/political news judgment
- On-air ability in reporting, hosting and analysis role
- A passion for politics, business and visual storytelling
