Primary Responsibilities
Develop quality software solutions employing modern DevSecOps tools and methodologies utilizing a SOA and microservices approachProvide adept recommendations to senior engineers, mentor junior engineers by studying information needs and conferring with users, study systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigate problem areasDocument and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear codePrepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programmingUnderstand business needs and know how to create the tools to manage them and protect operations by keeping information secureCollaborate with team to innovate and create new capabilitiesWork collaboratively with others to achieve goals, be a persistent, creative problem solver, and stay on the leading edge of development practicesBasic Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in appropriate field of study (CS, CIS, CSE)
Experience:
2+ years of experience as a software developerExperience object-oriented languages and application of S.O.L.I.D. principlesExperience inSOA/microservice applicationsExperience with containerizationExperience working in an agile environmentExperience collaborating with complex production systemsProduction focused, results oriented. Ability to evaluate requirement scopeSeeking leadership opportunitiesHigh comprehension of Software Architecture, Design patterns, and Test/Behavior-driven developmentMinimum Skills/Languages:
HTML, CSS, JavaScriptMicroservice applicationsContainerizationState managementExcellent knowledge of browser troubleshooting and debugging practices and techniquesUnit TestingUnderstanding of API documentation and implementationDesired Skills/Languages:
Linux Command Line InterfacePython3JavaReactReduxGherkins/Cucumber
Desired Certificates: Security+, AWS
Work Environment
This is a remote role with a preference on candidates residing in CA, CO or DMV area, but not necessary. Some travel may be required. In some cases, work in a government facility may be required.
