Primus Pharmaceuticals is seeking a web designer/developer to design, develop, and maintain our company’s website. This role requires hands-on coding expertise and a strong sense of design to ensure our digital presence is fast, efficient, visually engaging, and aligned with modern web standards.

Position Type: Contract- Project-based (not a long-term assignment)

Location Requirement: Candidates must live in the Greater Phoenix Area. Applicants outside this geographic area will not be considered.

• Manage WordPress environments (including multisite) hosted on WP Engine, including tasks like staging deployments, backups, performance tuning, and security.
• Collaborate with marketing and design teams to accurately translate visual concepts into functional, user-friendly digital experiences.
• Continuously enhance and update site features, content, and security protocols post-launch.
• Propose and implement new features that improve usability and functionality.
• Integrate websites with third-party tools, APIs, and databases.
• Write clean, efficient, scalable, and testable code using industry best practices.
• Research and recommend emerging tools and techniques in web development.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and contribute to ongoing technical refinement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven experience in web development or programming.
• Experience working with Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, and TypeScript for scalable projects.
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility and W3C standards.
• Experience managing WordPress sites and troubleshooting across environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to implement fail-safes or contingency plans.
• Knowledge of web security practices and performance monitoring tools.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
