Job Summary:
The Direct to Consumer Team seeks an Associate Content Programming Manager who will be a key addition to our DTC Content Programming team. This role is tasked with leveraging Testing and Experimentation as a means to achieve our engagement objectives across Disney+ and Hulu, with a focus on driving engagement KPIs through strategic optimization. You will work with a team of Content Programmers, product and other cross-functional teams to create and execute on-platform experiments across different surface areas, devices, and audiences. The right person for this role has familiarity with content curation, data analysis, project management, enthusiasm for growth, and a broad knowledge of television, film, and popular culture. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Program Hulu and Disney+ tests to best serve the needs of viewers and the business.
- Partner with team members on programming content optimization testing needs, and testing implementation as needed.
- Develop, manage and publish experimentation merchandising in the service.
- Execute and deploy tactics under supervision of more senior team members.
- Work off a prioritized calendar and document projects.
- Manage and ensure a rigorous, thoughtful, and globally coordinated testing schedule.
- Conduct day-to-day analysis and optimization of experiments.
- Create, update, and monitor Airtable tickets.
- Cover evening and weekend programming events, when needed.
WHAT TO BRING
- 1-3 years of experience in content programming, curation, product, analytics, audience development, or streaming television.
- Familiarity and comfort with using data to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication abilities including comfort presenting in front of large groups and the ability to write clearly and concisely.
- Outstanding attention to detail and follow-through.
- Quick learner; critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously, change priorities seamlessly, and remain calm under pressure.
- Experience and success growing various audiences across different platforms.
- A love of television and movies.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Previous experience working in streaming television.
- Familiarity with Airtable.
The hiring range for this position in California is $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
