DescriptionJob Title: Facilities Design SpecialistDepartment: Facilities OperationsLocation: Oklahoma City, OKReports to: Facilities Operations ManagerFLSA Class: ExemptW/C Code: 8227Safety Sensitive: NoJob Summary: Perform planning, design, and analysis to support manufacturing plant layout and facility projects. Lead cross-functional teams through the gathering of requirements and the review of design solutions. Produce detail drawings and plans.Essential Job Functions:Supports Facilities Operations and those they serve through the work request, project feasibility, development, and authorization processProduces designs, drawings, plans, and supporting documentsFacilitates cross functional teams to determine requirements, and produce layout design solutions to achieve departmental and company goalsLeads manufacturing and facility design review meetingsPrepares presentations to share with internal and external stakeholdersEnsures compliance with and obtains construction permits from municipal, county, state, or governmental authorities Ensures accuracy of construction documents and as-is prior to departmental useMaintains, updates and coordinates changes to manufacturing layout drawings for all operations within the organizationExamines construction plans for building code compliance per IBC (International Building Code), ADA (Americans with Disability Act), NFPA (National Fire Protection Agency) and OSHA (Occupational Safety Health Administration)Manages relationships and expectations with all project stakeholdersProvides reporting to leadership on project status Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports unsafe activities to supervisor and/or a Health Safety and Environmental team memberProvides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skillPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications:5-8 years' experience in Architectural, Engineering or Construction design field preferredProficient in the use of AutoCADExperience with Revit 3D BIM software preferredProject Management experience a plusMust have analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skillAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyMust have proficient computer and technological skillsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral or diagram formCapable of effectively presenting information to and leading internal and external groupsCore Competencies:Action Oriented - Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
