Work Type Designation: Hybrid
- In-office presence will be required up to three days per week, depending on project demands, including capturing video, setting up and operating equipment, and utilizing an editing bay for post-production work.
- Work from Office and Hybrid employees must be able to commute to the Regional Office as their schedule demands.

Union Status:C2. This is a union position
Annual Salary Range: $65,381 - $111,772. The salary for this role will be determined by a candidate's years of relevant experience related to the position, as well as their geographic region. Our salary scale steps start at 1 year or less and go up to 30+ years of experience.
Travel:This position requires travel regionally and nationwide up to 50%
- This role requires travel nationally to capture photo and video content for events, cases, conferences, and in-person interviews with clients and staff. Frequency will depend on needs (ie. case development, rallies, critical events, etc.)
FLSA Status: Exempt / Full Time
Supervisory Responsibilities:Vendors and freelancers as needed.

Multimedia Content Producer
Lambda Legal seeks a passionate storyteller who understands how digital media uniquely drives information and action in today's media environment. The Multimedia Content Producer must love to create and produce content across all media - broadcast, streaming, online, social, mobile. The Multimedia Content Producer will manage the day-to-day production process (pre and post) and editing of original editorial and branded content for the Lambda Legal Digital Team. They will participate in campaign pitch sessions, lead video reviews, envision long-term projects, and collaborate with digital, legal, social, development, and communications stakeholders to shape content that aligns with Lambda Legal's brand, message, goals, and mission They can identify compelling stories and will guide the content creation process from conception to execution. The Multimedia Content Producer is a key member of Lambda Legal's Communications Team responsible for the creative and strategic direction driving the storytelling initiatives of digital in support of the organization's overall advocacy and fundraising goals. This position reports directly to the Senior Communications Director, Internal & External Campaigns.
What you'll do:
- Be the subject matter expert for photography, digital content, tools, technology solutions, and the vision to execute across multiple digital platforms.
- Creatively run productions from start to finish - including, developing comprehensive production plans, detail-oriented plans, and timelines, ideating on the overall tone, look, editing.
- Apply your keen news judgement and creative aesthetic for long-lead and rapid response content production.
- Effectively work, plan, and communicate with different teams cross-functionally in a fast- paced environment.
- Shoot and edit photos and video for digital, social, and mobile with an understanding of each distinct platform and how to diversify content.
- Oversee all aspects of production, including crew and production team(s), research, post-production, and timelines.
- Lead the editing and approval process for created content.
- Clearly receive and articulate plans, notes, and revisions.
- Create photo and video content for current and emerging social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
- Pitch and develop new series and formats to engage viewers to deliver impact, while working with Digital Director to achieve audience growth targets.
- Manage production budgets under the direction of the Senior Communications Director, Internal & External Campaigns, and negotiate rates with freelance crews and vendors when appropriate.
- Lead pre- and post-production on set (virtual or in-person) in an interview setting, for social and/or news clips.
- Adapt quickly to rapidly changing situations and be solution-oriented in approach to projects.
- Create and maintain a multimedia library and media archiving system.
- Be a data-driven individual with some audience development experience and/or understanding of how videos work across different digital platforms.
Who you are:
With the understanding that no one person will offer every desired skill and characteristic outlined below, compelling candidates will offer much of the following:
- Candidate must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable and adept at working with a remote manager. Someone who can and likes to work on multiple projects at a time.
- A qualified individual will have at least 4-5 years of experience in photo and video production and editing.
- Experience with and ability to edit in Final Cut Pro and/or Premiere, Photoshop, and proficiency in other video editing software such as After Effects.
- A strong background in content creation for social media on platforms like TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Threads, BlueSky, and Facebook.
- Proven experience producing both short-form and long-form content across various platforms, from concept development to final delivery, ensuring high-quality storytelling and audience engagement.
- Experience developing compelling scripts and facilitating interviews to craft engaging narratives that align with brand objectives and resonate with target audiences across multiple platforms. Strong ability to ideate, storyboard, and edit compelling multimedia content, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and audience engagement goals.
- Proven experience in producing and setting up video and photo shoots, including coordinating with on-the-ground talent, setting up lighting, cameras, audio, and other necessary equipment to ensure high-quality content production. A creative with a keen editorial eye who enjoys telling stories and talking to people.
- A leader with attention to detail, and a collaborative nature.
