Senior Design Manager, Womens What will you do? A day in the life of a Senior Design Manager for Womens at Dickies looks a little like this. This position leads the creative vision, design strategy, and execution for our Global Women’s Workwear category. This role requires a creative individual with a strong background in apparel design, and a keen understanding of market trends and consumer needs. This position will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality, price/value, functionality, and style. This role reports to the Director of Workwear Design. Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more. Lead the design strategy and execution of innovative, functional, and trend-relevant Women’s workwear that align with the brand’s vision and business objectives. Initiate and provide focused, feasible, functional, commercial, and innovative product ideas that are appropriate for the Dickies brand, and the women’s consumer in a timely manner. Develop a strong understanding of the market to identify opportunities and threats, stay up to date on industry trends, consumer trends, and competitor activities; conduct market research and trend analysis to stay ahead. Ensure all designs meet quality, price/cost, fit, and functional standards, with a priority on considering cost and manufacturability. Support the GTM process and ensure effective inputs and outputs. Maintain design decks, tech packs, and other documentation to ensure clear communication and execution of design concepts. Work in partnership with the Design, Global Merchandising, and Development teams to execute project direction, product process, cost targets, and deliverables. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and other external partners. Present design concepts and collections to senior leadership and key stakeholders. Continuously analyze the category and evaluate design changes needed to improve efficiency, relevance, profitability, and commercial viability. What do you need to succeed? Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 7 years of experience and professional achievements. The foundation skills you will need in this position are: Emphasis on brand and product storytelling through product design and retail design. Utilize a variety of design elements to articulate high-level, impactful artistic vision. Outstanding presentation skills. Knowledge of casual and workwear design and functional product innovation. Strong collaboration and teamwork skills. Ability to use 2D/3D software, including Sketch Up, AutoCAD, KeyShot, PhotoShop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Keynote. $116,640.00 USD - $145,800.00 USD annually Incentive Potential :
This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
