Responsibilities
- Record verbatim proceedings using stenograph machines
- Prepare and submit accurate transcripts as requested
- Proofread transcripts for accuracy
- Clarify inaudible statements with speakers
- Provide transcripts to judges, lawyers, or the public
- Transcribe proceedings according to established formats
Qualifications
- Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR) license or NCRA RPR certification
