JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Delta Utilities is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SharePoint Administrator and Content Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our SharePoint environment, ensuring that it is optimized for performance, security, and usability. This role involves content creation, editing, approval, and the overall management of the SharePoint site to align with the company's brand image, marketing strategy, and business goals.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Management:
- Develop and implement content strategies for the SharePoint platform.
- Create and manage a content schedule for regular updates.
- Ensure that content published on the SharePoint site aligns with the company’s brand image, marketing strategy, and overall business goals.
- Review and edit content for accuracy, grammar, and style before publishing.
- Ensure the SharePoint site is user-friendly, navigable, and meets the needs of various user groups.
- Assist users with content creation, editing, and publishing, reviewing and approving content to ensure it meets the company's standards and guidelines.
Collaboration and Training:
- Collaborate with various teams including marketing, IT, and external agencies to generate content and manage the SharePoint site.
- Train employees on how to use the SharePoint platform and encourage its use across the organization.
Maintenance and Support:
- Maintain and update the SharePoint platform, including applying necessary patches and upgrades.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for issues relating to the SharePoint platform.
- Monitor and report on content performance, usage metrics, and site analytics.
Administration:
- Set up and configure SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, and workflows.
- Manage user permissions and access controls to ensure that employees have the appropriate level of access to the content they need while maintaining data security and compliance.
- Integrate SharePoint with other Microsoft applications and third-party tools.
- Ensure the smooth functioning of the SharePoint platform by performing regular system checks and maintenance tasks.
Technical Support:
- Offer technical support to end users by troubleshooting issues related to the SharePoint platform, including resolving access problems, fixing broken links, and addressing any other technical difficulties that users may encounter.
Feedback and Improvement:
- Gather feedback from end users about their experience with the SharePoint platform and use this information to make improvements, which could involve updating the site’s layout, adding new features, or making other changes to enhance usability and user satisfaction.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum experience required of the position
- Proven experience as a SharePoint Content Manager and/or Administrator.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint capabilities, content management best practices, and web technologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and quality.
- Experience with SharePoint Online and Office 365 preferred.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript preferred.
- Familiarity with SharePoint Designer, Power Automate, Power Apps, Azure, and Azure DevOps preferred.
- Understanding of information architecture and user experience design preferred.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
- SharePoint Certification at, at least an Associate Level; Expert Level is preferred.
