Description
The Grant Writer/ Compliance Specialist is responsible for identifying, applying for, and managing grants to meet organizational needs, overseeing the process from research to submission and compliance. This role involves collaboration with program and fiscal teams to support resource development, performance measurement, and grant-related compliance. Key duties include grant writing, reporting, RFP development, quality assurance, and coordination of compliance and accreditation activities. Ensures timely submission of grant applications, compliance with funding requirements, and effective monitoring of outcomes. They also provide training, maintain grant databases, and represent the organization at public funding meetings. The role demands strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills, alongside expertise in grant funding policies, project management, and financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research various types of grants available and the criteria to qualify for each.
- Discuss available sources of funding with administrative managers.
- Compile necessary information for the application process through collaboration with other employees, database research, and other fact-finding actions and meetings.
- Draft and complete grant applications according to application requirements.
- Ensure grant is submitted on time and within application parameters.
- Complete all documents, forms, or reports required by the grant.
- Assist with coordination of the monitoring and evaluation of programs and projects that are funded by grants.

Pay range: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00
Requirements
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in related field required. Three years’ experience in grant writing and managing grant applications and contracts preferred.
