As part of the Innovation Team, this role leads the charge in creative production, blending design, branding, and project management to shape everything from marketing materials to immersive guest experiences. What You’ll Do
- Champion the brand—Develop and uphold brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all marketing and guest touchpoints.
- Lead a team of designers, providing guidance, feedback, and direction to ensure high-quality creative output.
- Collaborate on brand vision—Work with the Senior Manager of Innovation to shape the creative direction for marketing campaigns and on-property experiences.
- Manage creative projects from concept to completion, balancing deadlines, budgets, and production logistics.
- Oversee the production of marketing content across all media types—print, digital, display, signage, outdoor advertising, and more.
- Ensure smooth workflow, using project management tools like Basecamp to track progress and communicate with stakeholders.
- Work directly with vendors, determining materials, quantities, costs, and turnaround times for print and media production.
- Use cutting-edge design software, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects, to bring concepts to life.
- Maintain an organized digital asset library, ensuring creative materials are accessible and up to date.
- Support multimedia projects, including photography, videography, and animation, collaborating with contract photographers and videographers as needed.
- Contribute to Rock City’s iconic events, helping design and execute creative elements that enhance seasonal experiences.
Requirements
What Makes You a Great Fit
- You’re a storyteller at heart, with a passion for using design to connect with audiences.
- You have at least five years of experience in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field—bonus points if you’ve worked with multiple brands or locations.
- You have a degree in graphic design or visual arts (or a strong portfolio that proves your skills).
- You know branding inside and out and have experience developing and enforcing brand standards.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, multi-project environment and can juggle deadlines without missing a beat.
- You’re a skilled communicator, able to work with designers, marketing teams, and leadership to bring ideas to life.
- You’re fluent in Adobe Creative Suite and other marketing/design tools.
- You’re organized and detail-oriented, making sure every project is polished and professional.
- You’re open to feedback and collaboration, adapting to shifting priorities and creative directions.
- You’re willing to travel occasionally and can work flexible hours when needed—including nights, weekends, and special events.
- You can handle the physical aspects of the job, including lifting up to 25 pounds and walking the trail regularly to assess on-site creative elements.
