We are seeking a Studio Manager (Finance & Operations) to oversee the financial and operational aspects of our practice. This key role ensures the business runs smoothly, allowing our design team to focus on delivering exceptional architecture. About You
- You have at least 3–5 years of experience in finance, operations, or business administration, ideally within the architecture or design industry.
- You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- You have a strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and cash flow management.
- You are an excellent communicator, comfortable working with firm leadership, clients, vendors, and consultants.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment and enjoy problem-solving and implementing efficient systems.
- You are self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Primary Responsibilities
Finance & Business Operations:
- Manage firm-wide financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, cash flow management, and invoicing
- Work closely with the firm’s financial advisors to ensure financial health
- Handle contracts, insurance, and risk management for projects and studio operations
- Implement and refine business processes to optimize operational efficiency
Studio & Administrative Management:
- Oversee daily studio operations, ensuring a productive and efficient workflow
- Maintain office systems, technology tools, and vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, licensing, and professional standards
- Assist with business development and marketing coordination as needed
HR & Team Support:
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and HR administration, including payroll and benefits
- Foster a positive studio culture, supporting professional development and team engagement
- Manage scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to keep projects on track
Your Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, operations, or studio management
- Bachelor's degree, with minimum 3.6 GPA, degree in business administration, finance, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of financial management, bookkeeping, and budgeting.
- Exceptional organizational and technical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Self-motivated professional with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with firm leadership, clients, and vendors
- Proficiency in architecture practice software, including financial, graphic design, project management applications, and Dropbox
- Native or business-level English fluency
