Overview
Bachelor's Degree in Design (graphic design, interaction design, visual communication design or related field). 5+ years of experience in a design role for digital products across multiple platforms (mobile, touchscreen, desktop). Experience in complex system design, specifically web-based applications for data analysis (scientific domain experience a plus). A portfolio of related work detailing work from prototype to developed product. Fluent in design patterns and trends across digital platforms. Experience developing and working within a design system. Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (eg Figma). Solid communication skills and with the ability to articulate design ideas and gain consensus across a variety of stakeholders (organization management, product management, implementation teams, etc.). Ability to scope design activities and workstreams, manage expectations of stakeholders, and work within deadlines. What You Will Be Doing
Identify customer unmet needs and improvement opportunities through user and stakeholder engagement and research. Collaborate with the UX design team to create user-centered experiences using UX artifacts like user flows, low-fidelity concepts, and high-fidelity prototypes. Create and iterate on concepts, wireframes, and prototypes following best practices and incorporating common design assets. Plan and execute user testing sessions with internal and external customers to gather generative and evaluative research. Produce high-fidelity UI deliverables for engineering handoff and collaborate with engineering (eg., front-end developers and product owners) to ensure design quality in the final product.
