About The Role The Head of Marketing will develop and execute a highly strategic and data-driven marketing, public relations and digital program to: Refine Solar Landscape’s brand positioning among REITs, developers, and commercial property owners. Drive lead generation and sales acceleration for national expansion. Clearly differentiate the company’s Brand and Value proposition. This leader will integrate brand, content, digital, communications and account-based marketing (ABM) to build deep engagement with asset managers, CFOs, sustainability officers, and real estate investment executives. They will also closely align with Sales, Business Development, and Policy teams to ensure that marketing directly contributes to market share growth. This role will be based in NJ or NY. Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Leadership:
Develop and execute a data-driven marketing strategy that aligns with growth objectives, ensuring a scalable and high-ROI approach to national expansion. Brand & Market Positioning:
Establish Solar Landscape as the most trusted and execution-focused commercial solar partner in mindshare and market influence. Market Insights & Competitive Intelligence:
Monitor industry trends, policy shifts, and competitor movements to refine marketing strategies and ensure SL remains ahead of the curve. Executive & Thought Leadership and Public Relations:
Elevate the company’s presence at industry events, executive roundtables, and real estate conferences, ensuring that Solar Landscape leads the conversation on commercial real estate solar adoption. Partnership Marketing:
Leverage industry conferences and events to create C-suite engagements to build relationships with target clients. Competitive Content Differentiation:
Create a compelling narrative that positions Solar Landscape as the best partner for property owners—offering superior financial returns, regulatory expertise, and seamless execution as compared to competitors. Demand Generation & Lead Acceleration:
Build and execute an account-based marketing (ABM) strategy that directly targets high-value commercial real estate portfolios and REITs, ensuring sustained pipeline growth. Digital & Content Strategy:
Manage Website, lead SEO, paid media, email, and LinkedIn campaigns to capture demand and convert high-intent property owners. Data & Performance Optimization:
Implement a data-driven marketing infrastructure, leveraging/re-platforming Website, CRM, automation, and analytics to maximize ROI and continuously refine strategy. Background & Experience
10+ years in B2B marketing leadership, partnering with sales & business development. Experience building and managing high performance teams. Experience with matrix/cross-functional leadership teams. Expertise in account-based (ABM), enterprise demand generation, and B2B brand strategy. Preferred Experience
Experience competing for market share in a rapidly scaling, high-growth industry—preferably within solar, energy-as-a-service, or real estate technology. Experience in commercial real estate, solar, infrastructure, or energy sectors. Understanding of economic/regulatory shaping commercial solar adoption nationally. Understanding of solar, clean energy, or energy-as-a-service models. Leadership & Competencies
