Job descriptionSweet Grass is seeking a graphic designer to produce visually appealing designs with a focus on written reports, data visualizations, and presentations. The person in this role will work under the supervision of the Creative Director to support our research, evaluation, strategy, and implementation teams and create data-driven deliverables that meet the needs of our clients. The ideal candidate will be adept at all stages of the design process, from concept to final deliverable, and have a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of work. Culturally humility is a must, as we use a customer-first design approach to ensure our work honors and respects the clients we serve. This is a mid-level role with room for advancement as our team grows.How you'll make an impactUse meticulous attention to detail to understand informational content and present it effectively.Design 100+ page narrative reports, feasibility studies, proposals, interactive forms, presentations, and infographics to support our four service teams.Provide day-to-day graphic design support, including the design of new print and digital assets and updates to existing projects.Work with colleagues to ensure designs meet brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the client.Translate spoken and written creative requests into effective designs.Deliver consistent, timely, and high-quality design assets that are aligned to our clients’ brand standards.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in graphic design; or closely related field3–5 years of experience in visual/graphic design field; production environment a plusStrong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesignAdept at working with templates and applying hierarchy with stylesExperience using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and project management software in a remote environmentExcellent communication skills and ability to verbalize and present your workKnowledge of accessibility practices and WCAG 2.0 standards is desired; interest in developing these skills is essential.Excellent project management skills and ability to self-manageCollaborative, accurate, and organizedCore competenciesInstill trust : Gain the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.Communicate effectively : Develop and deliver communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.Customer focus : Bring user awareness and deliver customer-centric solutions.Collaborate successfully : Build relationships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.Benefits and compensationThis role is non-exempt, full-time status.Yearly salary is $44,000–$55,000, depending on experience.Benefits include 100% paid medical/vision/dental insurance, 3% match simple IRA after 6 months, 148 hours of paid holiday time, and 168 hours of annual and sick time.We offer a flexible work schedule.
