Apply remote type: Hybrid | locations: New York, NY; Washington, DC | time type: Full time | posted on: Posted 4 Days Ago | job requisition id: R-2025-272 Job Summary & Objectives: This Senior Communications Manager works with the Director of Communications and the Chief Business Development Officers to support firm-wide business development initiatives through the promotion and enhancement of the firm's profile and its continued growth. This role helps develop and distribute communications regarding the addition and elevation of new partners, as well as the enhancement and growth of related practices and firm capabilities. The Senior Communications Manager also supports the firm's ongoing profile raising and media engagement, including promoting newsworthy transactions, litigation matters, and thought leadership. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities: Develop and distribute press releases, website content, and other visibility efforts related to new partner additions and firm capabilities, in collaboration with the Director of Communications and Chief Business Development Officers. Identify and evaluate opportunities to enhance the profile of the practice and partners through media engagement and thought leadership campaigns. Drive media engagement by promoting newsworthy transactions and litigation victories through appropriate channels. Identify opportunities for media commentary and prepare background materials accordingly. Develop and maintain relationships with key media outlets and contacts, facilitating relationships for key partners. Develop and execute strategies for bylined articles and contributed content. Create website content, including partner bios and business development materials, reflecting new awards and firm developments. Train and mentor junior team members and the broader Business Development Department. Collaborate with the Communications team and stakeholders to develop LinkedIn content. Monitor industry news sources, keeping current with industry knowledge. Assist in strategy and preparation for award submissions and survey responses, providing competitive intelligence analysis. Oversee and create promotional materials in collaboration with Graphic Design and external vendors. Maintain and develop Business Development and Communications materials, including brochures and practice descriptions. Support Business Development projects and firm initiatives as needed. Perform operational support functions related to Communications and Business Development strategies. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree required; majors in Communications, English, Marketing, Advertising, or related fields preferred. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail. Ability to develop buy-in, interact professionally with stakeholders, and maintain discretion. Ability to anticipate business challenges and address needs proactively with business acumen. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a demanding environment. Exercise initiative and independent judgment. Assess needs, prioritize, develop strategies, and make recommendations amid ambiguity. Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Flexibility to work additional hours as needed. Excellent research and analytical skills. Effective problem-solving skills. Ability to share knowledge and resources internally and externally. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and web-based research tools. Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience managing marketing communications projects at various levels, preferably within a law firm. Experience working with media outlets across multiple jurisdictions, including Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Experience with website maintenance and content posting. Physical Demands:

For NY and DC: Estimated base salary range is $200,000 to $240,000. Actual salary depends on qualifications, experience, education, and location. This role is exempt from overtime pay. Privacy Notice:
