Earthjustice is looking for an organized, detail-oriented, data-driven, and environmentally-oriented individual to support the Digital Fundraising and Engagement (DFE) team. The role serves as a key member of the Communication Department by helping us maintain and grow our digital fundraising program, producing and executing high quality email and SMS to our active donors and list of nearly 2 million supporters.
Digital Fundraising currently provides nearly 8% of the organization’s annual $160M+ revenue and we aim to grow that revenue year-over-year. To help achieve this goal, this individual will apply skills such as basic email and sms production, spreadsheet manipulation, analytical reporting, developing fundraising content. A non-profit background is a plus but not required. The role reports to the Associate Director of Digital Fundraising & Engagement and will work in close coordination with the DFE team, the Digital Engagement Communications team (DE), and all Development sub-teams.
Responsibilities:
Production and Implementation (40%)
- Own coding and sending fundraising and stewardship emails and SMS messages
- QA digital content to ensure fundraising emails, web pages, SMS messages, and other digital communications are accurate and ready to be published
- Help create and manage donation forms
Digital Marketing Strategy (20%)
- Contribute to message calendars and content brainstorms on an ongoing basis
- Assist in writing email and SMS copy for fundraising and stewardship messages
- Help implement and monitor email welcome series
- Partner with the Direct Mail team on the implementation of integrated campaigns
Data and Testing (20%)
- Implement and monitor ongoing A/B tests, assist with other testing efforts
- Analyze email and mobile message performance to identify trends and insights that will lead to future optimization
- Assist in monitoring email list health through deliverability and engagement reporting
Stewardship and other responsibilities (20%)
- Support the team with other emerging projects as needed
- Track work in Monday.com project management workflows
- Support monitoring of email inboxes in which supporters reply to our digital appeals
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferred.
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Fluency with CRMs such as EveryAction, Action Network, ActionKit.
- Email production experience, HTML experience required, or CSS experience preferred.
- Fluency in fundraising metrics and evaluation.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong time management skills and ability to set and manage priorities.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience with graphic design preferred.

Salary depends on experience and location.
Salary range in San Francisco, CA and New York, NY: $77,900 - $86,600
Salary range in Washington, D.C, Chicago, IL, Seattle, WA, and Los Angeles, CA: $74,100 - $82,300
Salary range in Denver, CO and Philadelphia, PA: $70,200 - $78,000
Salary range in Miami, FL, Bozeman, MT, and New Orleans, LA: $66,300 - $73,700
