This position is responsible for assisting in the development, planning and coordination of our marketing communication initiatives for the brands we are responsible for and support, with a primary focus on content creation to support communications for print, web, social and e-mail communications strategies. Additionally, this position will be responsible for leading projects as deemed necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, monitor and maintain, as well as write and update content contained on all the business units websites/portals and social channels we support.
- In coordination with the global marketing team, assist in managing the Snap-on Diagnostics Websites and the web authoring process for content management
- Assist in developing Marketing materials for diagnostic tools and software. Assist with the introduction of marketing materials and electronic marketing vehicles, including Internet and other digital forms of communication.
- Provide creative support through writing, editing and proofreading content for marketing collateral.
- Develop and design pieces for various marketing campaigns and ongoing promotions, including direct mail pieces, e-marketing, presentations, posters, handouts, promotional specialties, etc.
- Manage content for external and internal newsletters and provide internal marketing communications support on a global level to ensure broad implementation of brand strategies.
- Provide input on the global web strategy in terms of research and ongoing support
- Coordinate projects with outside vendors and agencies to assure quality of work, reliability of delivery within schedule
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Snap-on office based, with some travel requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Minimum 3 years experience in a marketing/ web / social specific role
Other Requirements:
- Fundamental understanding of marketing
- Solid skills in all Microsoft Office products: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint
- Good knowledge of InDesign or Illustrator, plus photo-editing software such as PhotoShop
- Strong background in content creation and familiarity with design tools and project management programs used to support those efforts
- Strong organization and prioritization skills
- Proficiency with Google Analytics and web analysis tools
- Experience of working with a content management system, marketing and social automation tools
- Strong project management skills and experience of co-ordinating multiple projects with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
